Dr. Roland Achenjang grew up in Cameroon, West Africa. His exposure to the cultures in Cameroon, America, and other parts of the world were enriching and a source of a lot of confusion about life on planet Earth. For over twenty-eight years, he questioned all of it. He employed his Catholic teachings, local folklore and diverse cultural beliefs, and pharmacy and business school knowledge to help in vain. In frustration, he taught himself to meditate in 2013/2014. After years of maintaining the practice, he had a spiritually transformative experience (STE) on August 21st, 2018. He immediately remembered who and why he truly is and this put the entire Earth life experience into a perspective he now believes makes more sense than any understanding he held before. P. M. H. Atwater, L.H.D. began her research of the near-death phenomenon in 1978, after having had three near-death experiences within three months. To date, her work covers nearly 5,000 adult and child experiencers. Some of her findings have been verified in clinical studies, among them the prospective study done in Holland and published in Lancet Medical Journal (12-15-01). For this talk, she combines her work in near-death states with the research she did in the sixties in her home state of Idaho where she started Idaho’s first non-profit metaphysical corporation called Inner Forum. Dr. Diane Corcoran obtained her PhD in Nursing from the University of TX at Austin in 1981. At that time she was also serving as an Officer in the U. S. Army - with a career that lasted 25 years. Vincent DeVice is a Senior Nursing student currently working as an in-home caregiver as he pursues his R.N., B.S.N. degree. Dr. Hausheer practices comprehensive cataract and refractive eye care in Lawton Oklahoma as Clinical Professor Dept of Ophthalmology, with the Dean McGee Eye Institute, affiliated with the University of Oklahoma. She also works as Adjunct Clinical Professor of Rural Health with Oklahoma State University Family Medicine and Emergency Medicine residency programs in Lawton. She obtained her medical degree from the University of Missouri Kansas City School of Medicine, and Internship and Ophthalmology residency training at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester Minnesota.

Dr. Hausheer is past president of the Oklahoma State Medical Association, and currently co-chairs the Rural Physician section, and serves on the Oklahoma Health Care Authority as board member. Janice Miner Holden, EdD, LPC-S, ACMHP

After 31 years on the University of North Texas (UNT) Counseling Program faculty, Jan Holden retired in 2019 as Professor Emerita of Counseling. Beginning in 1988 with her doctoral dissertation, her primary research focus has been counseling implications of near-death and related experiences. Debbie James, MSN, RN, CCRN-K has worked in the Adult Critical Care arena for the last 44 years as a clinical nurse, nurse manager, nurse educator, and Clinical Nurse Specialist. She is a certified bereavement facilitator and formed two support groups in San Antonio: one for near-death experiencers (NDErs) and for organ donor families. After completing her master’s thesis on NDEs and Disclosure, she served on the Board of the International Association for Near-Death Studies (IANDS). In 2009, Debbie co-authored and edited the first compilation of research on near-death experiences, Handbook of Near-Death Experiences: Thirty Years of Investigation. She has delivered numerous presentations regarding NDEs and spiritually transformative experiences (STEs) to small group sessions/classes as well as international conferences audiences.

In 2001, after giving birth to her fourth child, Jennifer suddenly and inexplicably hemorrhaged. Efforts to save her life were in vain, and she died. Genny Krackau, author of "Beyond the Explosion", is a life resident of San Antonio, Texas. M.K. McDaniel’s haunting 2000 Distressing Near-Death Experience, and resulting emotional trauma, released its hold on her psyche when she courageously chose to share her message with others in her 2020 memoir: MISFIT IN HELL TO HEAVEN EXPAT.

Thanks to the Seattle International Association of Near-Death Studies group, M. K. met innumerable people with varied, and similar, NDE’s. She came to accept her journeys into Hell and Heaven as a gift, an opportunity to help dispel the fear of death, and to encourage others enduring difficult situations.

Rev. Bill McDonald was a Huey helicopter crew-chief/door-gunner in Vietnam. He was awarded The Distinguished Flying Cross, The Bronze Star Medal, 14 Air Medals, The Purple Heart Medal and other medals and ribbons. He had many STEs while in combat, as well as before and after the war including NDE-like experiences which he writes about in his books.

He has been associated with around a dozen films, TV shows and videos including a PBS TV special called "œThe Art of Healing". He has authored several books that deal with his 3 NDE-like events and his many STEs.

While near-death experiences are increasingly discussed among medical providers, including incidence, proposed mechanisms and long-term impact on experiencers, far less attention is given to shared-death experiences, which may be as common or more common among medical providers. By sharing personal experiences and experiences for colleagues, this presentation will initiate the normalization of shared-death experiences among medical providers and invite collaboration and research into the phenomena.

Father and son (Jeffery Olsen & Spencer Olsen) share their two drastically different experiences of an auto accident that took the lives of half their family. Jeffery (the Father) having profound Near-Death Experiences, Out-of-Body Experiences and After-Death Communications, while Spencer (the Son, only 7 years of age at the time of the accident) had no NDE nor mystical experience at all and was left to navigate grief, loss and trauma as an innocent child. Melinda Peterson, RN BSN, HNB – BC, separated physically from her only son Oak in a transformational near-death experience in 2014. A resounding message from the experience was to serve others with the bonus time she received. Through the process of healing emotionally, physically, and spiritually, she changed careers and became a holistic nurse and life coach. She also serves as Board Chair of Return to Zero: HOPE, a non-profit organization supporting bereaved parents and related health providers to improve mental health outcomes around pregnancy and infant loss. Andy Petro is just a regular guy who happened to drown, earth-die, and then return unwillingly to earth. He is able to remember exactly what happened to him while he was earth-dead. When forced back into his earth-body after his near death experience he was not given any instructions, missions, or tasks to tell others about his encounter within the Light. He was frighten and very sad for many years. No matter how hard he tried, he couldn't forget the Light. He was very angry with the Light for many years. Then he started waking up in the middle of the night with words and images whirling around in his mind. He was compelled to get up and start writing from the chalk board in his mind.

Kirsty Salisbury is a speaker, podcaster and coach exploring the topics of life, death and experiences in between. Neologist of the Medical and Spiritual Gap of Care for NDErs, Lilia was a major contributor and commentary author for the Narrative Inquiry in Bioethics NDE Symposium published in MUSE by Johns Hopkins University Press titled, Closing the Medical Gap of Care for Patients Who Have Had a Near-Death Experience. LaVonne Wells Sandberg is a spiritual teacher, global speaker, and love activist. 

LaVonne is committed to assisting others remembering who they really are, which is a divine expression of love. Her first love is assisting moms and dads who have experienced the passing/transitioning of a child through the healing process. She believes it is by remembering who they are, they can access their children by using their hearts as the main tool.

Brian Smith is a life coach and a grief guide. He is the author of the book Grief 2 Growth, and the host of the Grief 2 Growth podcast.

Brian suffered from a debilitating fear of death for most of his life. He researched the afterlife extensively to overcome this fear. St. Germain-Sehr earned a doctorate in Counselor Education and Supervision at St. Mary’s University in San Antonio in 2003 and is a Clinical Assistant Professor and Clinical Experience Director in the Counselor Program at William & Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia. She has 26 years of clinical experience, is a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor, a National Certified Counselor (NCC), a Board-Certified TeleMental Health Provider (BC-TMH), and an ACISTE Certified Mental Health Professional (ACMHP) trained to assist individuals with integration of spiritually transformative experiences. She has advanced training in transpersonal approaches to counseling, including Induced After-Death Communication (IADC), and is the Executive Director of The Center for Grief and Traumatic Loss and an IADC Trainer. She has co-authored two publications, collaborated on two research projects, and provided numerous trainings related to ADC, holds membership in 12 professional organizations, has served on three editorial boards, and has over 45 presentations at international, national, regional, state, and local conferences.

I am a hypnotherapist in Issaquah Washington primarily doing Past Life and Life Between Life Regression. I was lead to this by visiting the spirit world 360 times when I was 11. Jane Thompson had a profound near-death experience in 2008 while in the emergency room. She was taken to the hospital with a sudden illness early one morning, and by that afternoon, the illness had progressed rapidly. Leaving her body, entering the light and being in spirit form changed her life dramatically. The process of integrating the aftereffects of her NDE were challenging. Having overcome these challenges, her focus is now on helping and healing others. Jane serves as an intuitive healer and spiritual gifts coach. Heidi Walsh is the Managing Editor for Narrative Inquiry in Bioethics: A Journal of Qualitative Research (NIB). NIB is published on behalf of the NIB Foundation—a non-profit charitable organization committed to fostering education and research in bioethics. The journal publishes personal stories that describe complex human experiences. Since joining NIB in January of 2017, Heidi has enjoyed helping hundreds of people share their stories through the pages of the journal. In addition to her NIB work, Heidi is a Senior Project Manager in the Bioethics Research Center at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. She manages research projects on ethical, social, and professional issues that affect patients, researchers, and health care providers. Heidi has worked in clinical settings with emergency and behavioral health patients in the past, sparking her passion for finding ways to improve the patient experience. Heidi has a Masters of Public Health with dual certifications in Health Education and Health Management & Policy. Heidi is a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES).

Susan is an Intuitive Visionary Artist. After near death experiences as a child Susan was given the ability to see into the Angelic Realms allowing her see the angels in their pure light form. She uses this ability to draw your Angels Portrait and relay messages and insights from your angels.

Susan is also the Artist/Author of the Solfeggio Mandala Activation Guides & Meditation Decks assisting us to realign with our original blueprint. She also creates healing art with a conscious heart from her visions during meditation. This is her way of connecting with the divine and to assist humanity to do the same and recognize the divine within ourselves and each other.

Ellen Whealton is a Near Death Experiencer, transpersonal, and music therapist who uses music, and various modalities in her practice. 

She is a childhood experiencer who received spiritual lessons before being drawn back to her body by music.

Gary L. Wimmer has been a professional psychic for over forty years. In 1977, he had an intense but enlightening “near-death” experience, which he describes in detail in his book, A SECOND IN ETERNITY. Gary has spoken about his NDE and psychic ability on numerous radio interviews, video interviews, and at IANDS and INACS meetings.

A childhood NDE led me to undergrad studies in Eastern Religions at Columbia University, and then nearly a year in Europe and the Middle East, exploring sacred sites. Later I earned a Master’s degree in theater and myth studies at the University of Maine, before going on to seminary, where my final degree was in NDE studies. I’ve served as a hospital chaplain and Congregational minister, as well as served as IANDS Publications Director and on the IANDS board. I currently host IANDS NDE Radio, as well. I am married with two children and three grandchildren, and live on the coast of Maine.
